In short
- Purchases and subscriptions go through the app store you got the app from, and are charged to your account there.
- A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, in your app store account settings.
- Refunds are handled by the app store.
- Our apps help you work things out. Check the results before you cut, order or build.
Who we are and what this covers
Our apps are made by Sifter Apps (“we”, “us”). These terms apply to all of our apps, on every device and platform they run on. By downloading or using an app, you agree to them. The standard license terms of the app store you got the app from apply as well. If the two ever conflict, the app store’s terms take priority.
Your license
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our apps on devices you own or control, as the app store’s rules allow. Please don’t copy, resell, rent out, modify or reverse engineer the apps, except where the law allows it. The apps, their design and their content belong to Sifter Apps.
Purchases
Prices are shown in the app and in the app store, in your local currency. Payment is charged to your app store account when you confirm the purchase. A one-time purchase unlocks its features for good. You can restore it on your other devices signed in to the same app store account.
Subscriptions
Billing and renewal
Each subscription shows its price and period before you buy. Payment is charged to your app store account when you confirm. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
Cancelling
Manage or cancel a subscription in your app store account settings. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel it. When you cancel, it won’t renew, and you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
Free trials and offers
If a free trial is offered, it turns into a paid subscription when the trial ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before that. Any unused part of a trial ends when you buy a subscription.
Price changes
If a subscription price changes, the app store tells you in advance. Where the store or the law requires it, you’ll be asked to agree before you pay the new price.
Refunds
Payments are processed by the app store, so refund requests go to the store under its refund policy. We can’t issue refunds ourselves, but we’re happy to help if something isn’t working.
Results and your judgement
We work hard to make our apps accurate, but results depend on what you enter, and they can’t replace professional judgement, plans or the rules where you work, such as building codes. Check the results before you rely on them: before you cut, order materials or build. You’re responsible for how you use them.
No warranty
To the extent the law allows, the apps are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We don’t promise that they will be error-free or always available.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as wasted materials, lost time or lost profit, that come from using the apps. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.
Your rights under the law
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer laws where you live that can’t be waived by agreement.
Updates and support
We may update the apps, change or remove features, or stop offering an app. If that affects a subscription you’ve paid for, you keep access for the period you’ve paid. For help, write to us at the address below.
Privacy
Our apps collect nothing and share nothing. See the Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top when we do. If you keep using the apps after a change, you accept the new terms.
