In short
- We collect nothing and share nothing. Our apps have no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking.
- What you enter and save stays on your device.
- Device features such as the camera or motion sensors work only on your device, only for the feature you use. Nothing is recorded or sent to us.
- The app store handles every purchase. We never see your name, email or payment details.
Who we are
Our apps are made by Sifter Apps (“we”, “us”). This policy covers all of our apps, on every device and platform they run on. If you have a question about it, write to us at the address at the end of this page.
What we collect
Nothing. Our apps have no sign-in and no servers of ours behind them. They contain no analytics, advertising or tracking code, from us or from anyone else. We don't see what you calculate, measure or save. We don't sell or share personal information with anyone, because we never receive any.
What stays on your device
Your projects, saved items and settings are kept in the app’s own storage on your device. If your device backs up app data, to your cloud account or to a computer, they’re included in that backup. If an app offers cloud sync, your data goes to your own private cloud account. Backups and sync are run by their provider under your account with them, and we can't access them. Deleting an app removes what it kept on your device.
What our apps may use, and why
Device features
Some apps ask for the camera (for example, to show a result in your space with AR), motion sensors (a level), location or your photo library (to save an image you made). Your device asks you first. Each one is used on your device only while you use that feature. Nothing is recorded, kept or sent to us. You can change access any time in your device’s privacy settings.
Purchases
In-app purchases and subscriptions go through the app store you got the app from, and the store processes the payment. An app only asks the store whether your account owns them. Refunds, purchase history and subscriptions are managed by the store in your account settings.
Sharing
When you tap Share or Copy, the content goes only to the app or person you choose. It doesn't pass through us.
Ratings
An app may sometimes show the app store’s standard rating prompt. The store handles it, and we don't see who rated or how.
Children
Our apps are not directed at children under 13. They collect no personal data from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR and the California CCPA/CPRA give you the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. We hold none, so there's nothing for us to hand over or erase. Everything our apps keep is on your device and under your control.
Changes
If any of our apps ever handles data differently, we’ll update this page and the date at the top before that version is released.
